He’s currently the Head of Environmental Sustainability at Australia Post and prior to that was Group Manager Environment at Qantas. He’s led the implementation of a wide range of environmentally focused initiatives including climate mitigation and adaptation strategies, innovative renewable fuel and energy solutions, circular economy innovations, as well as customer, community and workforce engagement strategies.   Karen Gomez      Chief Executive, Paintback Ltd    Karen is an experienced leader in product stewardship, building on a career as a senior executive operating nationally and internationally in a range of sectors, including manufacturing, telecommunications, motor club services and finance. Paintback Ltd operates the Australian paint industry’s Paintback®, a national initiative to take responsibility for its end-of-life product and find innovative new ways to repurpose its inherent valuable resources.  She was the inaugural CEO of Agstewardship Australia, established to provide strategic overview and fund rural chemical stewardship programs.  Karen was also appointed to Federal Government’s Product Stewardship Advisory Group. Karen is committed to Australia’s social balance sheet, having contributed to disability and community services as a director of Focus ACT disability services and as a member of the ACT and SA Business Committees for the Salvation Army.
